Job Description

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading our marketing and sales effort.  The incumbent is responsible for lead management, sales presentations, closing sales and meeting monthly sales objectives.   Excellent leadership and communication skills are necessary to be a strategic partner to Senior Management, Board of Directors and Residents. The Vice President plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the activities of the above mentioned department in line with Duncaster's mission and objectives.

  • Develop and implement annual marketing and sales strategy.
  • Meet or exceed occupancy goals.
  • Create and implement action plan designed for lead generation to ensure proper and timely follow up of all new and existing leads.
  • Plan and offer numerous in house events for lead generation.
  • Work with public relations firm to provide direction on designing plan of public awareness to establish brand name recognition and enhance market penetration.
  • Represent Duncaster at outside events.
  • Edits all copy for media articles, advertisements and website as well as creating and designing direct mail communications.
  • Editor of marketing newsletter.
  • Create and cultivate relationships with prospective residents by educating them as to how Duncaster’s benefits may enhance their life.
  • Work through prospective residents’ objections in a positive manner.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Residency and Care Agreements.
  • Utilize MatrixCare Marketing software in tracking leads and creating reports.
  • Train marketing team members in product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Awareness of competition comparisons and knowledge of competitions.
  • Provide administrative support to the Board’s Marketing Committee.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other relevant degree.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a Life Plan Community.
  • Experience with senior sales and marketing, goal oriented and success driven.
  • A proven track record in sales.
  • Be strategic and develop a plan to ensure growth and occupancy of the community.
  • Innovative thinker who can initiate new ideas and generate solutions.
  • Workable knowledge of computers and software including Microsoft Office, Excel, Windows, and lead management software.
